The Woods
"The Woods" is an eight-look collection, using only recycled, re-purposed, deadstock, or organic, substantially and ethically grown textiles. By using primarily second-hand textiles, I was able to significantly cut down on waste and the demand for virgin materials when making new clothing, and the textiles I re-purposed were transformed into one of a kind pieces. The inspiration for my collection is the way humans interact with our environment, taking inspiration by my experiences and feelings in the woods. I was able to translate this through interacting with the environment in the urban setting of Brooklyn by using textiles found in my environment.
