I would like to dedicate this project to Mother Earth. Since the beginning of the semester, I've been considering making more eco-friendly textiles due to my environmentally-conscious lifestyle and would like to incorperate this discipline into my work. When I was introduced to the 2015 documentary The True Cost, I realized how muchglobal damage the fashion industry inflicts. Inspired by one of my favorite artists, Ruth Asawa, this project explores my inner connection to nature, supported with textiles that are made from recycled, upcycled material and can be reused and degradable.
