Recycled Table
A coffee table constructed completely out of repurposed waste and found objects. All materials were gathered from dumpsters or left out waste from a four-block radius from the Pratt campus. I noticed large amounts of perfectly usable wood, metal, and other materials being left out on the street from construction sites or warehouse waste. I wanted to show that you don't have to pay for brand new supplies and that you should always first look for recycled or used options before buying brand new stuff. In addition, I wanted to show the beauty behind the recycled objects and texture and aging that can't be recreated. For the table I wanted to combine various elements and textures and piles of trash in order to embody and create aesthetic qualities around construction waste and recycling.
