Re-purposed accessories
In the outdoor industry, materials like used tents, floorplans, and waterbladders often get thrown out or at least for climbing rope it can't be used after a while and some places that sell the rope, when it is returned it must be cut up and thrown out even if the rope has not been used due to liability issues. So I decided to make a textile and connect the rope into a stylish bag. My goal is to use the materials we have already have that get overlooked while also bringing awareness to the wearer about environmental issues and ways to take care of it (incorporating the Leave No Trace principles on the cushion of the backpack).
