While researching New York City's plastic bag consumption, I discovered that the city has the highest amount of plastic bag waste among the United States. I used the LATCH theory during the initial research phase, then added various approaches to find out what is special about New York's plastic bags. My hope is to raise awareness about plastic waste, specifically in New York City. My final results include a set of fashion outfits made with NYC plastic bags, a set of typography designed with the wasted bag photography, and a proposal for future grocery bag looks.
